Tuesday nights its a music quiz, thursdays its general knowledge and play your cards right.... Jackpot this week for the play your cards right is £110. indiekidette Posted September 11, 2005 Share Posted September 11, 2005 It's at the banner cross inn, there are always a few on geography & religion, never my strong points and quite a few on sport/politics. Its a noughts and crosses style quiz sheet too which is kinda fun. There's always a group of old regulars in the right hand bar at the back who usually win something mainly cos theres so many of them - they just buy lots of quiz sheets and team up but its fun to try and beat them and we have a couple of times. can't remember what time it starts though, maybe 9ish? we usually get there around 8 but i won;t be going tonight am suffering a deadly hangover! Magneteer Posted September 11, 2005 Share Posted September 11, 2005 The Anvil on Stannington Rd have a free quiz/sandwiches on Tuesdays, start about 10:15pm. 20 general knowledge questions and a prize of a gallon of ale/lager/guiness etc. The beers are probably the best in the S6 area.
