_BLADESMAN_
During an argument my partner refuses me permission to use her car to pick my daughter up from college at 9pm tonight. The argument had nothing at all to do with my daughter and she has to get from town to Shirecliffe at this time of night. Am I wrong thinking this is out of order? MissMonkey
Well it is her car so I guess what she say's goes? How old is your daughter?
norks
It is a bit but if your lass is angry i would do some serious grovelling, matbe swallow your pride and nip out and buy her some flowers or something then mybe she will change her mind Good luck
Mr Prime
If she is denying you the use of the car to punish you for disagreeing then that is plainly wrong. If she would usually let you use it then that is worse.
_BLADESMAN_
Well it is her car so I guess what she say's goes? How old is your daughter? She's 19. But depriving her a lift home because of an argument nothing to do with her is a bit much...... isn't it?

Dozy
If she is denying you the use of the car to punish you for disagreeing then that is plainly wrong. If she would usually let you use it then that is worse. My bold But that isn't necessarily the case, the OP might have said something very nasty that upset the OH. (I'm not trying to imply the OH did, just pointing out that she didn't necessarily say it just because OH disagreed with her.) Any way, if it was in the middle of an argument, it was probably just said in the heat of the moment, and she might change her mind when she calms down. Well yes it is if it wasn't to do with her. Maybe your partner will change her mind nearer to the time of your daughter finishing college?
Tatman
Before the argument picking my daughter up was not a problem in the slightest. She sounds like a bitch to me.
Mr Prime
In these unfair situations I refuse to recognise restrictions and go ahead anyway. I would just take the car and if there are any complaints reply "tough".
