Greybeard
Does anyone know what's in Henderson's Relish ? To me it looks like creosote and smells like nitromors and I'd no more think of putting it on food than either of those

benmyster
not a particularly quick snack... but sliced potatoes (about 1cm thick slices) with splashes of relish on top, then fried/roasted, with cheese added for the final minute to melt on, then more relish on top. Takes about half an hour, but tastes good.

HappyHoosier
I know cheese on toast is an English favorite but I've always wondered how it's prepared. Is it toasted bread with a thick cheese sauce poured over it, like Welsh rabbit? Is it bread covered with sliced/shredded cheese that's melted under the broiler? Or summat else entirely? Oh, and what kind of cheese do you typically use?
