Dick
It used to be a common expression at school (cat's died) for kids growing out of their trousers. But haven't heard it for years. Is it still used?

aliceBB
"You eat more chocolate than Parsons preached about" who's parson??? Parsons are vicars/C of E priests. They would I suppose preach about gluttony (a deadly sin). Eating too much chocolate = gluttony. ---------- Post added 01-03-2013 at 20:06 ---------- My Granddad always used to say "it's snowing in australia" to my Grandma if her underskirt was showing There was a nice one I heard on the radio recently, where a lady was talking about old-fashioned bloomers/knickers and how she used to call them her 'Harvest Festivals' because 'they made sure all was safely gathered in'
