There are LOADS of pictures on picture sheffield and there also exists old cine film on youtube driving from the bottom end of London rd (town end) Right the way up to the old abbydale picture house, looks like from the mid 1920's Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

grinder Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Years ago 1950/60s we used to go in the Albion pub on London road, the gents toilets were out back across a cobbled stone yard. I was told some years later that todays entrance was originally the back door and the cobbled yard was all that was left of the old London road... Does any one know if it's still there.?
