hard2miss
I wish I had the money for one of these. I would even consider hiring it out if I had one. (its airsoft )
medusa
Enough of the advocating animal cruelty thank you. If you had seen as many animals who had been shot with BB guns or air rifles as I had whilst working with rescue animals then you wouldn't think that it was as harmless either. In answer to the OP, get a super soaker and make your garden somewhere that the cats don't want to be for any reason. Any cat that gets soaked with water every time they come into your garden will decide very quickly that it's too unpleasant to risk going into that garden. You'll only have to do it for a few weeks and then you'll get months off before any of them try it again.

Defoe
Cat faeces carry germs and parasites that are dangerous to children.
mickw
If you spray Lion pee in your garden normal size moggies won't come any where near. Thats what one keeper at Whipsnade once said on camera.
Alcoblog
I've got a small hadron collider in my garden. It's been there for a while now and I never have a problem with cats. I just wait for them to sit on it and smack them over the head with a baseball bat.... works a treat!
mickw
You could just lock them in a lead lined case and bombard them with Gamma rays. Well it makes just as much sense as the Hadron collider!
