Suffragette1
I know that MND affects around 5,000 people in the UK out of 65 million so it's quite a rare disease, Apparently the form of MND i am worried about accounts for 20% of all cases which means only 1,000 people in the UK have the PBP form of MND. You're trying to convince yourself that you don't have MND based upon the stats yet at the same time subjecting yourself to self-diagnosis. You're in a vicious circle of despair and denial which cannot be doing your mental health any good and is probably aggravating your symptoms. If I were you, I'd go back to your GP, tell him/her that you're worried about MND and ask for a referral to a specialist. No one on here is qualified to give you a diagnosis or the all clear, even a specialist couldn't do that without a physical examination and tests. Good luck. Plain Talker
I know that MND affects around 5,000 people in the UK out of 65 million so it's quite a rare disease, Apparently the form of MND i am worried about accounts for 20% of all cases which means only 1,000 people in the UK have the PBP form of MND. So, surely by your own admission, the research you are scaring yourself half-to-death with, shows the chances of you having MND, let alone PBP are minuscule-to-nil, am I right?
