Bonzo77
Anyone know where to get a mammogram carried out private in Sheffield or Chesterfield? NHS appointment is not for 2 weeks & that is too long to wait!

milquetoast1
Try ringing for a cancellation. Failing that, Thornbury.
esme
if you think there is an urgent reason, go see your doctor they could get you in more quickly if they think there's cause for concern

Suffragette1
Thornbury hospital, Fulwood 01142661133 I think that you still need a GP referral to be seen privately, so the OP needs to get back in touch with their GP.
summa
You can have a consultation with a private doctor, and wouldn't need a referal for that but it's expensive, but if you can't wait and need peace of mind it's well worth it.

Oh, I thought that you still needed a GP referral for a private consultation, presumably so the GP has all the patient's medical investigations on their central records. We have private health care through my husband's work and always have to get a GP referral to be seen by a private practitioner, unless this is something to do with the health care providers coughing up? summa
I'm not sure how it works if you are with a private health care scheme, but my family have used the thorbury alot and I know if you are wanting a consultation you can book without a referal, i would imagine they have access to your medical records the same way any hospital can:)
