There is no '0' in front of the mobile number to miss. Its just 001 plus the area code and phone number.

In UK usage, you list a phone number as "01234 567890."

 

The initial zero is to tell the telephone network that you're dialling an outside-your-own-area number; the 1234, in effect, is the area code. However, we always, invariably, refer to the area code as being "01234" because that's how we write phone numbers.
