The fares detailed below are the MAXIMUM fares, which may be charged.

 

FIRST 160 YARDS (146.3 metres)

DAY (6.00 AM UNTIL 8.00 PM) £2.50

NIGHT (8.00 PM UNTIL 6.00 AM) £3.00

 

Then 30p for every 346 yards (316 m) travelled up to 17600 yards (16093 m) - approx. 10 miles: -

 

After (10 miles) 17600 yards (16093m) 30p for every 285 yards (260m) travelled: -

Waiting time

For 55 seconds the cab is kept waiting 20p

 

Extras

Each hiring begun between 6.00 pm on 24th December £2

and 6.00 am on 27th December and between

6.00 pm on 31st December and 6.00 am on 2nd January.

 

Fouling the vehicle - MAXIMUM charge £50

 

Drivers can apply a charge of 50p per transaction,

when payment is made by debit or credit card where this facility

is made available by the driver.

As it's in general discussions, you could be meaning in any city.

 

In Sheffield, in a Mercury cab, would be £14.20 for 4 people or less on a booked journey.

 

City's price would be very close to that too, give or take a few 5p's.

 

 

Not strictly true PT, though it is for the journey mentioned. If you travel only 160 yards in the day time, it would cost you £2.50 in a black cab. A Mercury would cost you £3.80. (City 3.85)

The difference crosses at around 1761 yards (without stopping) when a cab would cost £4.00, but a Mercury cab would still cost £3.80.

 

City Taxis charges £3.80 for the first mile and Not £3.85!
