Id like to announce that The Hollybush Pub in Rivelin is having an overhaul due to new management.

First off the Kitchen is being taken over by an independant Catering Company who are renounded for doing lovely homecooked food (real chips!) at cheap prices (2 for £6).

see...

It is a distinguished pub in a great location to suit all tastes. Theres the Rivelin valley nature trail nearby and also Rivelin valley park and paddling pools.

Were just off Rivelin valley road over the little bridge on the right before you get to the park.

Hope to see you there

Though I'm sad to hear its changing hands, good luck with the venture! The Hollybush is a great pub with friendly locals and atmosphere and I hope it manages to keep both. Out of interest, will you be keeping the same beers on, as the only downside of the Hollybush for me was the lack of choice of ales and lagers.

The pub otself isnt being taken over. But a high quality caterer has been brought to the foray.

We are aware of the lack of diversity in our drink and have just added stones and in a few weeks will havepremium strength san miguel. We hope that adding a focused caterer who is opening evenings aswell will bring drinking customers to the pub also. We plan to introduce a real ale circulation if business improves.

You mean people buy chips which are not real?

Ooh we've just started driving to Rivelin Valley to walk our dog... it would be lovely to combine a long walk with a nice lunch :)

Are well behaved dogs welcome inside the pub?

We usually go to the Three Merry Lads but it's a bit further to drive and it would be nice for a change...
