It is very sad, the military cemetry at Dhekelia Cyprus is kept immaculate and well tended by Greek cypriot empoyees.

We first returned to Dhekelia around the millenium a break of 33 years.

Was the George Club still there and Mikes bar in town ?

We weren't too well aquainted the Dhekalia bars etc as we were stationed at Episkopi SBA and lived in Limassol, the other end of the island.

Being the only regimental band on the island after the Royal Anglians departed we got to play nearly all of the dances, mess functions etc all over the island with either the dance band or the rock band.

Along with the members of the regiment who died there is our nephew who is also buried at Dhekelia.

You're confusing 'War Graves' with the graves of ex-service personel.
