Cameron and his Crew blame everything on the past Goverment

Recommended Posts

No he didn't, he didn't hand anything to anyone. Even Cameron didn't win the election, parliament was hung and he had to bribe the Liberals so he could grasp power. After that, the first thing he did was to intoduce a minimum 5 year parliament because he knows he is not popular. Still, people will be rioting in the streets before too long because they won't have any work, can't get the public services they need and there will be another recession.

All because we're paying more in interest charges than we do on the NHS, history will remember who was responsible, just like it's remembered who was responsible for the mess in the 1970s.

The election was pretty inconclusive apart from one issue, the people didn't want Brown as PM, on that issue most people were agreed. What did he claim time and time again, an end to boom and bust. :hihi:

Do you mean the 80's?

Anyone who remembers the 70's wasnt there, as they also say about the 60's.

I was in Utopia in the 70's, best time of my life.

I sure it was for you, but history remembers the UK government asking the international community for handouts in the 1970s.

So what, why are you flagellating yourself over the capitalist mistakes?

Let them put their house in order, it is no concern of ours.

Hoi Polloi will suffer no matter what.

Some of us think the same of NuLiebour.

Those who forget the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them

It depends how you judge a successful Government as to whether you think Mrs T was a success or not, but anyone who seriously disputes the current problems in society and our country as a whole were in part created, and broadly exacerbated by the Tory government's policies of the 80's really does need to re-join the real world

the recent Labour governments' policies may not have been to your liking, but they didn't create the mess we're in - and I'm not talking economically

It's like it's the national pass time around these parts to still blame Maggie for everything. And that was over 20 years ago, not 20 weeks ago!
Some of us still blame the Socialist republic of South Yorkshire for everything around these parts.

the previous labour administration spent 13 years blaming the previous conservative government

this is something that governments do, just ignore it, everyone else does

I'm sure politician's consider it their inalienable right to blame "the last lot".

I remember the Thatcher government blaming Labour for things, even after more than 10 years in office. I'm pretty sure Blair's lot blamed Thatcher after a similar long span of time had elapsed.

It's all a game. We don't like the Tories? Labour will save us. Starting to dislike Labour? The Tories will put things right. Always the lot in opposition are seen as a panacea for all political ills. Remember "Hope" and "Change we can believe in" from Obama? What a load of bullcrap that turned out to be. Now the Yanks are looking to the Republicans again, forgetting why they got rid of them only 2 years ago.

We shouldn't laugh, we play the same empty game over here too.

The one thing I disagree with is the public sector pensions debt being unsustainable, I am surprised anyone is still peddling that nonsense after the Tories own think tank the OBR showed it was sustainable and predicted its costs not just being manageable but long term reducing.

Did you consider mentioning that to Lord Hutton? He doesn't seem to share your incite into these matters. Then again he was only the Labour Government's ex Trade and Industry secretary so what does he know?
