Strada Coffee Bar Ecclesall Road

Does anyone remember the Strada Coffee bar on Ecclesall Road ?

In the late sixties it was full of " Teds " .

I remember one , I just wish I could remember his name, but he always reminds me of the lead singer in Mud , Les Gray. I loved his crimson suit.

Does anyone remember the strada coffee bar in the early sixties on Ecclesall road,my mate and me would go there on our motorbikes,then bike up to the Fleur De Lys at Totley and listen to the juke box.We would then bike round the peak district late at night,all to the annoyance of our parents.The good all sixties.

Remember The Honeycombe think that was corner of Harefield Rd amd Ecclesall Rd and The Coffee and Cream at Banner Cross The name Strada rings a bell but cant place it. Was it the one in Berkley Precinct that is now Coasta?

I have not been up Ecclesall road for a few years,the coffee bar was on the left hand side above Stones brewery and opposite the car showroom garage I think it was a Hillman agency.The Honeycombe seems to ring a bell.

I thought it was Wards brewery on Ecclesall road. I remember going in the Strada often, as I recall it was across the road from the Star picture house.

Costa coffee premises started life as a launderette.
