llamatron
How would you 'make' an 8 month old or 12 month old behave? I wouldn't take them on a flight so it wouldnt matter

KenH
The rule for such thing is easy. The minimum age for [insert activity here] should be one year less than the age of the moaner proposing the rule.

summa
its not the end of the world but it is really rude of parents not to make their kids behave when there are others around. 9 hours is enough to make people snap as well. How does it make me rude if my children are frustrated, tired or just generally playing up on a flight? I try my best to calm them down and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, how do you think the parents feel? I don't enjoy listening to children cry but it's only crying and once your off the plane you don't have to listen to it anymore! Give it a rest it's not end of the world plane sharing a plane with kids, that make a bit of noise!
artisan
Families with toddlers and babies should be made to sit on the roof, away from decent folk.
irenewilde
OP no offence but you're meant to be the adult (I assume), they're just kids and the flight is over in next to no time If the flight is over in "next to no time" then why can't parents keep their kids under control and quiet for that time? They should have some consideration for what is probably a huge amount of other people on the plane.

summa
What like the same consideration you have for familys also wanting a nice holiday! Do you not think the parents try and calm the children down? How would you settle a child that was either in a tantram or crying at 30,000feet?
