TINSLEY IN THE 40/50s

Did anyone go to Tinsley School on Plumpers Road in the forties or early 50s. The head teachers name was Mr Carlilse who had a very good aim with blackboard chalk when anyone was talking in his class. I well remember Miss Pearce who the girls were sent to for the cane when they had misbehaved the boys were caned by the male teachers or hit with the slipper. Also can anybody remember Bobby Gordon who never seemed to be off duty he was on the crossing at the library morning lunch time and after school then walking round the streets at night. Has anyone else got any more memories of Tinsley in the good owd days
