Stew Winter is coming

Recommended Posts

Lancashire Hot Pot is one of the better varieties of stew, although it's not easy to get the correct 'best end of neck' cut of lamb for making it.

Served with pickled red cabbage to cut through the grease - mmmmm.

You don't necessarily need end of neck, other cuts like shoulder or shin work as well

A recent poster mentioned about not being able to get rabbit. Boldocks on Chesterfiedl road sell It. I cook it in the slow cooker, with, celery, onions, mushrooms, pearl barley, leave it to cook for about eight hours. allow to go completely cold, then remove all the bones. I put in bags and freeze, yum yum!!!!!
