Lowedges and Jordanthorpe have certainly gone downhill in recent years, as has Norton/Greenhill.

I'd say Jordo and batemoor (or Jordanfoil and Bootmoor as they used to be known) have got loads better in last 15/20 years, Used to be a massive smack problem

Woodseats has got a lot quieter than it used to be as well round the Fraser estate

Worse for me Page hall/Fir vale area, total hole

That is a despicable comment.

Really? I'd call it being honest.

I live in a social housing area and have been saving up for 9 years to get my own place and get out. Soon I'll be free.

I can't quite make the 1 mile "exclusion zone" suggested but proximity to council estates has certainly been a factor in my search for a new home.

One of the few good ideas the Coalition has had:

New developments can be built without social housing

What's the point of working hard and saving to buy somewhere nice if a bunch of feral untermensch can be moved in next door?

I suspect crime statistics would back it up though

I doubt there is anywhere in Sheffield that is a mile from all social housing, so there can't be any crime statistics to back it up...

Are you suggesting that all council house tenants commit crime?

I would say most
