Good pub for sunday dinner

One to stay away from is the Moorlands at Owler Bar. Absolute rubbish! I can recommend the Cricket at Totley though

The Francis Newton does a lovely, good value meal. Ps Avoid the Bankers draft like the plague.

Crown and Cushion,Burncross serve an excellent Sunday lunch in pleasant surroundings,not had a bad meal yet but be warned it does get busy so I would definatly book.

The Derwent Water Arms in Calver is lovely. They do a big Sunday roast and there's also a large selection to choose from on the main menu. Went there at the weekend with my in-laws, the food was as gorgeous as ever and they loved it.

went to yorkshire bridge last month and the food was disgusing you could have soled your shoes with the beef never again i think its changed owners recently ...

 

We went in the summer for a pie and it was fabulous - as usual. A little on the pricey side but once you taste it you know why!

 

I seriously hope it hasn't gone down hill! its a gem!

The website doesn't mention a change - it says its been under the same family for the past 11yrs. Maybe it was just a one off - I hope you complained Bossdog!
