B&B Recommendations in York

I think I stayed at Avondale on that site a few years back, and it was ok.

Got a good deal at Great Western hotel on Fulford Rd earlier this year. Stayed at The Hollies, also on Fulford Rd a couple of years ago. Also stayed in a b&b called St Georges (I think) opposite the race course. enjoyed all three.

We stayed in a lovely b&b called Number 34 Bootham, run by a young couple, lovely clean place and the breakfast is gorgeous. You can walk into York in 5 minutes and the lady who is called Amy let us use the parking permit for another day while we had a walk round york.

We stopped in shoulder of mutton just outside york. Its a 5/10 minute walk from the centre but was lovely. If i remember right It was 60 pound per night per couple. Would def recomend it.

Not a B&B, but the York Ibis is alright as a budget hotel.

 

Easy walk to the station and some good boozers.

We stayed in a nice old place by the side of the river. Forget the name but it had a statue of a woman or a woman's head outside the main entrance. Comfortable and very rustic with a nice dining room and bar

We've been twice recently and both times stayed here, Queen Annes Guesthouse.

 

It's a 15 minute walk from the Minster but sufficiently out of town to be quiet. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, people are friendly. We paid about £180 between two of us for 3 nights.

Stayed at Wheatlands Lodge Hotel earlier this year which was very comfortable, nice breakfasts, short walk into York centre. Not a bad price, cheaper than some of the smaller B&Bs.
