Ms Macbeth
We've just been to London for a few days, single first class ticket was £19, ordinary return £17 for my OH = £36. I have a rail card, and get a third off, so mine cost £24. Direct trains both times. I thought that was a pretty good deal.

Andy
daftlad, what date are you wanting to go/come back and how many of you are there (adults/children)? Are you travelling from Sheffield? There will probably be some cheaper tickets, if you post the details someone might be able to find something.

scottcross
I have just had a look on BMI Baby and, from the random dates I have searched on, the following fares came up. Manchester to Edinburgh £61. Edinburgh to Manchester £38. Ive flown up before from East midlands on the early morning flight at 7-00am but have been no better off as the first bus to the airport was 5-00 am gets in just in time for checking in,arriving in Edinburgh 8ish then getting to the city 9ish you could be vitually at your hotel if you get the first train up the road from Donny.I think Easy jet still do this route East Mids -Edin/Glas
