Board games are a great idea and there's a lot to choose from these days. ELC have a range for the pre-schoolers which are educational as well as fun. Prezzies - Charlie and Lola books . Also books that come with the cd of the story are nice. Splat the Cat by Rob Scotton is good for girls or boys (3-6) My niece has loved bright and colourful 'board books' with feely bits, since she was a couple of months old. We bought a tool set for our nephew. Colourful wooden blocks. Hot wheels cars! Remote control cars.
