The abs light on my civic has started coming on while i am driving ,the brakes seem to still work ok. when I stop the engine and restart , it usually goes off then comes back on a little while later , anyone any ideas please ?. martss Posted October 20, 2010 Share Posted October 20, 2010 Could be just dirt on the sensors or rotors, had this problem on a Nissan Primera. The dirt makes the sensor think your skidding or sends a fault to the ECU. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am not confident enough to check the sensors etc so because it is the brakes I have booked it in for the experts to have a look. Thank you for your advice.
