very true,i chose a straight line to hit my first ton!

also on breaking the car occasionally veered in another direction to that which i was steering,5 mechanics tried solving this problem with NO sucsess.

the guy i sold it too eventually cured it,with new ball joints!!!!

No its not remember not all the letters of the alphabet are used.

 

My Spitfire was F reg and was built in 1968 so in that case B reg would be 1964

If it was pre-1963 then your registration may have started with a 'B' but would have been the original pre-suffix format, such as Bxx 123.

 

From August(?) 1963, registrations had the format xxx 123 A (original 'A' reg)

From 1964 the format was xxx 123 B (original 'B' reg) etc.

passed my test in 1983 and my fist car was a1971 mini clubman which i bought for £450 and then to insure it it was £200. it was a little beauty.

porsche 944 turbo, had it imported from california in 1989, cost over £2000 back then to insure at 17, i was young and stupid but wish i could buy it back now if its still running.
