Rooney on £250,000 A WEEK

Recommended Posts

I am surprised that Fergie fell this blatant blackmail scam.

I very much doubt that he has.

Rooney's present form warrants drop in pay.

Since the new contract covers five years and not merely the next few weeks, the question to be asked is "will he recover his old form?" and clearly, Ferguson thinks the answer is yes.

But arn't MU so many millions in debt,if a company are losing cash by the bundles then surely a wage freeze should be in hand, not to double the workforces wages.

Don't blame Rooney even though I detest him blame the people who give him the dosh.

Man Utd aren't in debt because of their wage structure or how they operate, they're in debt because of the way they were purchased by their current owners. The Glaziers borrowed the money to buy Man Utd and then passed that debt onto Man Utd.

Completely agree, I wish I had a skill worth that much.

I dont think Rooney has a skill worth that much. :)

Admittedly, he can kick a ball far better than i can but there are kids out in the park with just as much skill as Rooney who would play at professional level for a fraction of that fee.

There is a huge difference between what one is worth and what one can command......

Personally, i wouldnt pay Rooney a bean purely because the guy is a prat who brings the whole name and image of the sport into ill repute.
