Watching that, it strikes me that there must surely be some other life out there somewhere, intelligent or not, there is still an awful lot for humanity to discover. The universe deserves to be observed, We are after all made up from the very elements that it is made up of, we are for all we know the most intelligent product of its existence. It would be a real shame if we screwed it all up and didn't go on to learn as much as there is to know, even if the knowledge only ever stayed with us and we didn't find more life to hand it over to and share it with.
