hard2miss Posted October 24, 2010 Share Posted October 24, 2010 Good evening all! Can anyone offer any advice or tips on how to remove cooking oil from carpets? I've got a stain the size of a 2p but it's really noticeable. I've put washing liquid on it - no joy, i've tried carpet cleaning spray -no joy. Any ideas welcomed! Thank you in advance! koollady142 Posted October 25, 2010 Share Posted October 25, 2010 I find that the old fashioned washing soap (like Fairy) in a block works quite well. Never tried it on a carpet but have removed oily stains from clothing with it. Just wet the stain, rub the block of Fairy over it, leave for a bit then wash off. poppins Posted October 25, 2010 Share Posted October 25, 2010 A good de-greaser will work ,not the one's from the supermarket there a waste of money,get the ones from the DIY shops, they come in small spray containers too, the one I buy is called Grease lightening.
