Bassman62
Bassman, you really need to get into that whole 'multi-quote' thing... Once again "What did Wilders say that brought the charges?"
CXC3000
Once again "What did Wilders say that brought the charges?" I'm not exactly privy to what the prosecution said, but let's say it was along the lines of using (deliberate) offensive language towards Islam and Muslims. It's clear that that vile Islamophobe has an agenda which involves disparaging Muslims and their Faith at every given opportunity.

But they would find it offensive because it was said about their religion, but that isn't (shouldn't be) a sound enough grounding for arresting and prosecuting people for what they've said. If his words (or actions) lead to public disorder, then it's only right the Islamophobe is arrested.
mj.scuba
If his words (or actions) lead to public disorder, then it's only right the Islamophobe is arrested. It's fairly difficult to say anything critical of Islam without the threat of violence looming, the irony being perhaps that's one reason why people are critical. It's still not a good enough reason to stifle free speech, just because the followers of a religion and political ideology are offended when anybody dare criticise it, and thankfully that is what the result of the trial has established. Criticising Islam is not illegal (for the Dutch at least).

You don't really know what you're talking about do you, you're acting like a Westernerphobe/Israeliaphobe and jumping the gun.

My bold= what a load of waffle:loopy:. Did he call his Piggy Jack Mohamed or write a book like Rushdie? It was published what Widers said that brought the charges, maybe if you did a little more research instead of going off half **** with your usual ramblings you'd have more credibility

There's absolutely nothing wrong in voicing constructive criticism of anything, but when that becomes malicious and full of hate, then that's where the Law must step in. If his words led to a public disorder. You don't really know what you're talking about do you, you're acting like a Westernerphobe/Israeliaphobe and jumping the gun. Being malicious towards anyone, whether it be (towards) their Faith or anything else, is a crime. Just like slander or libel.

You've virtualy admitted that you don't what you're talking about, all this waffle doesn't answer why you're posting on a topic you know nothing about. The fact is that an Islamophobe was arrested (and hopefully will be convicted) for his vile and despicable views on over a billion people on the planet.
