callippo Posted October 31, 2010 Share Posted October 31, 2010 Never knew he was a Christian..mind you, Saddam probably didn't know either. somebody hasn't got the first idea about tyrannical politics, especially in the Arab context. it's actually not a surprise at all that Aziz, the number 2 of the regime, was a Christian. And Saddam knew very well why this was the case. Had his number 2 been a Muslim rather than a Christian, then there would have been a better chance, instead of no chance at all, of his amassing enough power to usurp Saddam as number 1. having said that, Aziz definitely doesn't deserve the death penalty.
