'Xian' - what's all that about then?

Recommended Posts

Obviously discussing wildcat's 'situation' is off topic regarding this thread for third parties (or 4th, 5th and 6th depending on how many usernames he might have :hihi:).

If you wish to ask me anything re wildcat please PM me where I may or may not discuss the 'situation'.

I've already asked you the question. But please do PM me if you feel inclined, though contacting admin would be more appropriate if you suspect multiple accounts are being used by a single person.

I'm just mildly curious as to why you continue to detract from your argument with something so silly.

As you were.

Society of the Godless

"Other names include "The Union of Belligerent Atheists" and "The Union of the Godless". A mass volunteer anti-religious organization of the Soviet workers in 1925-1947.

S.o.G. was an anti-religious movement that developed in Soviet Russia after the October Revolution under the influence of the ideological guidance and cultural "enlightenment" on the part of the Communist Party.

The newspaper Bezbozhnik (Godless, Atheist) (1922-1941) played a significant role in S.o.G.'s establishment, which had a wide network of correspondents and readers. In August of 1924, they founded the Club of 'Bezbozhnik's friends in Moscow. In April of 1925, the First Congress of this club took place, where they established a united All-Soviet anti-religious society under the name of The Union of the Godless.

In 1929, the Second Congress changed the society's name to The Union of Belligerent Atheists. The Central Committee chose Yemelyan Yaroslavsky as its leader (who occupied this post continuously).

S.o.G. embraced workers, peasants, students, and intelligentsia. It had its first affiliates at factories, plants, collective farms (kolkhoz), and educational institutions. By the beginning of 1941, S.o.G. had about 3,5 million members of 100 nationalities. It had about 96,000 offices across the country. Guided by Lenin's principles of anti-religious propaganda and party's orders with regards to religion, S.o.G. aimed at fighting religion in all its manifestations and forming scientific mindset among the workers.

It popularized atheism and scientific achievements, conducted individual work with religious people, prepared propagandists and atheistic campaigners, published scientific literature and periodicals, organized museums and exhibitions, conducted scientific research in the field of atheism and critics of religion. S.o.G.'s slogan was "Struggle against religion is a struggle for socialism", which tied atheistic propaganda with economy, politics, and culture. S.o.G. had vast international connections and was a part of International of Proletarian Freethinkers and later - Worldwide Freethinker's Union."

This paved the way for Stalin's mass-murder of Christians when millions were killed.

Surely you mean 'fake Xians' as it seems most unlikely that 'millions' or indeed practically any of Stalin's victims never lied.

Or could it be that your definition of Xian varies from post to post. If the Xians in question are are perpetrators your definition comes over all 'no true scotsman' however if the Xians are victims your definition suddenly becomes rather broad.

Incidentally why do you only mention "Stalin's mass-murder of Christians"? Do all the Muslims, atheists... he slaughtered not count or something?

You are living proof of a "Fake Christian" for you paraded as a Christian on a MSN Christian forum. Now we see you in your true colours as a "Belligerent Atheist" and it isn't a pretty sight.

How is this bizarre and completely unsubstantiated allegation supposed to be a response to my previous post?

A post which to remind you concerned how wildly and hypocritically your definition of Xian varies depending upon the point your are trying to make or avoid.

Well done yet another post which is 100% unsubstantiated allegations & 0% content which in anyway responds to the post you quoted.

To remind you again the subject I was discussing is how your definition of Xian seems to vary hugely from post to post, will you please stop making silly accusations and address that subject.

Anyone can call themselves a Christian. Plekhanov did on a MSN Christian forum.

And your evidence for this strange accusation is what?

I really am rather puzzled as to what it is about my posts here that make you imagine I'd pretend to be a Xian elsewhere.

Don't you realise that just because you're a serial liar that doesn't mean everyone else is similarly dishonest?
