iansheff
Just thought I would mention the problems I had with these last week in Rhodes, although it is the end of the season. Went to Kos in the summer and had no problems at all changing Euro Travellers Cheques for 2% commission, however in Rhodes last week I could not change them at the usual places in the resort or the hotel. I have visited the resort several times over the years with no problems, this year I was told I needed to go to a bank. Off to the bank only to be told they wanted 15% commission to change them and 6% to change sterling, I visited another bank and they charged a flat 7 euro to change the cheques. The tourist shop I have used before said they would change Sterling cheques but not the Euro ones and another shop who has always done them will not now.
