Someone in a German car doing 71mph on the motorway had to pull out into the outside lane to get past him while he was doing 62mph in the middle lane because there was a lorry doing 50mph in the inside lane a mile down the road? simondjuk Posted January 7, 2016 Share Posted January 7, 2016 Simply put, the left hand lane is for driving in (unless marked otherwise). The other lanes are for overtaking.
