Dan_Ashcroft
It does make you wonder why the people who think like this aren't quickly retraining as teachers. Primarily because they have aspiration and ambition.
Gothic_Angel
Isn't it for the same reason that (some) people have a go at any member of staff who is customer facing? Because they (wrongly) assume that the teachers are the ones making the rules or forget that they don't.

Who said teachers were professionals! How many teachers actually leave the job ??? Plenty of 'em grumble but how many actually leave and forge a succesful career elsewhere ??? donkey
There must have been 5 or 6 teacher bshing threads on SF since September alone. Why are they hated so much? At the end of the day, I think it comes down to inbreeding.

Unruly pupils and red tape were cited as the main reasons for the high turnover. The research also highlighted excessive workloads and lack of family time..." Cyclone
Primarily because they have aspiration and ambition. So if they're making a conscious choice to do something where they think their aspiration and ambition will be better rewarded, they really ought to stop moaning didn't they. If they want long holidays and easy work, then do it, otherwise shut it.
