alternageek
We usually go away this time of year and its the first time since we've been in this house to be home for halloween. We have no treats and sign on the door advising not to knock. Lights are off. Also why are parents going out at NIGHT with their kids? Surely they should have gone during the daytime when it was safer?
missflirtuk
My daughter had some milk bottle sweets that she didn't like so they went into the mix for the ghouls and goblins .
lectrolove
We haven't had any trick or treaters this year and probably won't now, other years it's all been over by 7.30. Oh well it's just me and the mini chocolate bars tonight
missflirtuk
2 people came to my Nan's at 4.15pm no parent in sight, they were about 9/10 year old. I took my daughter before it got dark as I didn't want it to disturb her bedtime routine.

Guest
Isn't the protocol to wire the doorbell up to the mains and retreat to the back room with a bottle of red? Also why are parents going out at NIGHT with their kids? Surely they should have gone during the daytime when it was safer? As long as it's not past their bed times, and they're accompanied by adults, all is surely well. Not much fun being unable to see your pumpkin glowing in the dark, is it? max
We offer fruit or sweets then the onus is on the child to make the healthy choice. Apples 4 Lollipops 7 Choc bars 8 Dentists are the winners.

I saw no glowing pumpkins for the few who couldnt read my sign. Just carrier bags...
