Keanaz
I remember Pond St Nora, but didnt see her much We had Stan the Nutter Bus driver He was a huge ginger bloke with a few sandwiches short of a picnic that used to catch the 52 bus at darnall to go up Handsworth, he would always go upstairs and try and drive the bus, shouting a lot each bit of the way. He once had a dog lead with no dog, he was hilarious (I think someone picked up on this lead and sold them as invisible dogs?)
Bloomdido
Stan lives round the corner from me. I recall him driving the 52 from town and getting on the bus one night, sitting next to a poor girl and plonking his arm around her for the entire journey home. Keanaz
Im surprised he is still alive, he must have been about 30is when I was a kid back in 75/76 What does he do, and what was his condition, does he still try and drive buses or walk the invisible dog, or does he have new skills? Bloomdido
He's the one. I think he always looked older than he was. Reckon he's about 50 something now. Still looks pretty much the same. He hangs around and talks to neighbours. I think his bus driving days are over.
