An all-powerful Tory government has crushed the steel industry with little thought for what will become of the thousands left unemployed. There is no work. But that doesn't mean there's no hope. Once the possibility of work had been taken away, the misfits and musicians of Sheffield had a lot more time on their hands. Time they used to make music in Sheffield and about Sheffield; music made in derelict spaces, there being no rehearsal let alone recording studios in the city. What they made was a musical revolution. Featuring Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), Richard Hawley (Treebound Story / Longpigs), Mark Brydon (Chakk / FON / Moloko), Rob Gordon (FON / WARP) and many more this pulsing, good humoured documentary is well worth a watch for anyone who's tapped their feet to a Britpop beat or a House tune.
