Mr Prime
The BBC is a media company. Media companies by and large are politically orientated and will put their slant on things and therefore try to shape the publics' opinions by including, or omitting, specific facts that support or conflict with their own views. Most pedal opinions rather than give facts. The BBC is not controlled by one 'emperor' in the style of Sky and Fox. The news team clearly have a mix of opinions. Do any lefties or liberals work for the Murdoch machine? The BBC does not represent one man's will or one political party's will.

They probably do, but they won't have any permission to try and shape peoples' views, that is left to the editors who pull the management line. INTERVIEWER
It's good to see that almost three quarters of respondents on here DO NOT trust the BBC to tell the truth. If the Corporation had its way this poll would be massively skewed IN FAVOUR of the giant media broadcaster that pays people to conduct searches of private homes against the will of the occupants. The BBC is thoroughly anti-British when it comes to respecting peoples privacy.
Magilla
It's good to see that almost three quarters of respondents on here DO NOT trust the BBC to tell the truth. They do, and many who voted 'no' have said so, they just don't trust 100% of the time. That would seem to be common sense. Having to misrepresent the poll, time and time again, would seem to be an act of desperation I don't think the BBC has too much to worry about just yet. INTERVIEWER
There is nothing remotely normal or civilised about any broadcaster that hires people to physically invade the private homes of innocent residents and conduct room-to-room searches against their will. But the BBC pays for such action which takes place every day. How can anybody trust, or respect, the BBC when it insults our common decency on such a regular basis? Diamond Sea
yeah so it all comes down in the end to accountabillity? all news can dr, change things to suit their own political ends BUT generally news services like the BBC are accountable to other people, if they get found out they get bollocked if on the other hand a youtube user isnt really accountable to anybody, an offending video may get removed, thats about it? basically what he said; they can't lie(say something unture) legally, but they tend to miss out the parts they don't like - I guess there are no laws for the art of manipulation as such

But the BBC pays for such action which takes place every day. How can anybody trust, or respect, the BBC when it insults our common decency on such a regular basis? If you could hold the general public in the same level of trust as you expect everyone to hold the BBC, then there would be no need to get warrants to search the properties of people who are suspected of breaking the law, as there wouldn't be anyone breaking the law. Unfortunately, people lie, and the BBC owes it to everyone else who is paying the licence fee to ensure that as many people who evade the fee are caught as possible. Incidentally, in the news today is the chairman of ITV saying his network only makes tat aimed at the lowest common denominator in order to maximise their advertising revenue and a direct reason behind the scrapping of thier acclaimed arts series The South Bank Show was that it didn't attract a big enough audience. Mr Prime
Totally true dosxuk but our teenage anarchist friend is too fanatical to comprehend this. He wails about capitalism while simultaneously wanting TV to be entirely market driven. He is also the author of classic lies such as: UK BBC tv licence fee payers - forced to give cash to the BBC so people in America don't have to. 032 - come back BBC all is forgiven A confused mix of sixth form ideas and tabloid style campaigning for an unpopular cause.
