Mr Prime
Over three-quarters of voters on this thread now reveal that they don't trust the BBC. Back in its 1970's heyday that figure would have been true for those who did trust it. But the BBC is now a pale shadow of its former self, producing rubbish programmes whilst its journalistic integrity is slowly sinking to the bottom of the swamp... Is there anything about that language that does not sound insane? Most people don't trust anything 100%, the BBC is still the Rolls Royce of unbiased information providing. A Rolls Royce can be dented it is still a Rolls Royce.

INTERVIEWER
There's a significant number of channels I don't want and will never watch but have to pay Sky for the priveledge of receiving, how is that any different? There is a significant difference between how SKY and the BBC treat people who are not their customers. If you do not choose (freedom of choice - an alien concept to the BBC) to pay for a SKY package then Rupert Murdoch's henchmen do not try to invade your home and conduct a room-to-room search against your will. If you choose not to consume any BBC content, the Corporation will pay people to come and 'visit' you in your own home, to conduct a search of the property, whilst simultaneously threatening you with a court appearance, criminal record and large fine. Nor does SKY automatically label you as a criminal 'evader' for not wanting its services. The BBC applies this derogatory term to over a million properties in the UK without a shred of evidence. SKY does not harass, intimidate, treat with contempt or threaten its non-customers. The BBC is not civilised or normal when dealing with those who want nothing to do with its dumbed down, poor quality content.
Mr Prime
"UK BBC tv licence fee payers - forced to give cash to the BBC so people in America don't have to" Interviewer: 032 - come back BBC all is forgiven Can you really believe anything this clown says about 'henchmen' or 'not civilised'? Not to mention loathsome and all the other tabloidisms.

The BBC and Sky cannot really be compared. Whilst both offer news and channels, that's where the similarity ends. The BBC is pretty unique in the way it is funded. Anyhow, give me BBC news any day of the week. You talk of BBC dumbing down.... and then compare it to Sky
INTERVIEWER
Is there anything about that language that does not sound insane? Considering I was voicing an opinion that is widespread around the country, it would appear to be your opinion that is the extreme one. The fact of the matter is that over the last 15 years or so the BBC has lost much of its integrity and quality, now being merely a pale shadow of its former self. The BBC rarely produces anything that is remotely original in concept. In interviews, Mark Thompson (BBC Director General) expresses particular pride in programmes such as 'Strictly Come Dancing', 'Doctor Who', 'Sherlock', and the sitcom 'Rev'. Mr. Thompson is just confirming that the cream of the BBC's content is about giving established ideas a modern spin. Anything different, radical, or experimental is left to the commercial stations to produce, usually in America. The modern BBC is incapable of coming up with new and exciting TV concepts such as 'Glee', 'Mad Men', 'True Blood' or 'Sex and the City'. Instead, the BBC looks to the commercial sector to produce inferior copies of established shows.

Mr Prime
Well Mr friend of the workers who wants them all to watch Murdoch all day, most people would not say the BBC's programmes are mainly rubbish. Nor would they use the word swamp to describe it's integrity. Simple as that. My 'extreme' opinion is reflected in the millions behaviour e.g. liking the BBC and paying their licence. For all your talk of integrity are you suggesting that Sky/ITV have greater integrity than the BBC? For all your talk of integrity you have used lies to bolster your argument.
