Plumbing help needed

Recommended Posts

hi, it could be one of a few reasons why there isnt much water pressure.

Sometimes new taps have plastic inserts within the tap inlet, just to prevent dirt falling in the tap. Not all taps have them, but they are meant to be removed prior to installation. A typical consequence would be poor water pressure.

Alternatively are your new taps accepting the same thickness/bore of water pipe , compared to the setup of your old taps. This is very important if dont have a combi boiler or if you have a traditional cistern in the loft or a hot water cylinder.

If you do have the latter, a gravity type hot water system, a pump is an option and fitting, i guess, is easy if you know how.
