A Bonfire Night to never forget!

Some will remember free festival legends Here and Now, with their connections to Daevid Allen and Gilli Smythe and Gong, (floating anarchy 1977), who are making their first trip in seven years to the city. Almost residents at the stonehenge free festival in the early 80's, these space punks are improv masters and are one of the progenitors of a certain kind of dance music. Sheffield Space rockers, Spiral Navigators have booked H&N to play at our annual Bonfire night extravaganza, after watching them play an utterly storming set at the 40th anniversary Isle of wight festival this summer. You will be warmly greeted by a our burgeoning Space Rock/Psychedelic/alternative rock scene, and we can assure you we are doing everything in our power to make this a magnificent happening, including video and art installations to compliment the music. We have the band, the venue, a lots supporters of Spiral Navigators, and even an after party which goes on till 6 am at Planet Zogg, Sheffields ten year old, very friendly Psi Trance night (ticket holders get into Zogg, @plug Matilda st, for half price (£5)...If youre interested in tickets which we're pricing as low as we can to cover costs, from Rare and Racy, Division Street(£8/ £6 NUS unwaged £10 on the door) please get in touch.

 

Very Special guest are the magnificently off-the-scale Tarana, pioneers of the Improg Scene, and indeed almost their own type of music.. On friday Rob Tarana is backed by members of much respected local alternative metal band Naisian, and Sax player Rachel Edmondson..they will be reprising towards a dub reggae in the fashion of their recent 100th album recording at West st live.
