Getting to Doncaster Races

Recommended Posts

Trains to Donny are frequent and relatively quick, taxis sit outside the station. It's not really walkable from station to race course - especially if you'll be in your glad rags!

As someone who used to live near the racecourse, I'd say its eminently walkable. I used to walk to town with my parents regularly, even as a little ''un.

I agree, we paid about a fiver on train and walked up to the racecorse - as well as about 200 others

called in a few pubs on the way - Good day

I go on the train and generally walk from the station weather permitting. It's about a 35 minute walk from the station and we usually stop off at a pub called The Salutation on South Parade which is about half way.

Dont bother, its awful, the worst race course in the UK.

Save your cash and go to York for the May meeting.

I feel the same about Southwell, never won a dime at that course.
