Where do you send a British criminal? Doubt anyone else would want her, so you? tbh right at the very end it does say "Det Con Melanie Groves, from the Metropolitan Police, said: "This is a clear case of Roma families who wished to improve their lives but were prevented from doing so by being exploited by their own people."" Isn't it a pity that there isn't as much done to secure benefits etc for our own needy. What concerns me is that a woman who I doubt originated from the UK had so much knowledge of the system to be able to milk it of $2.9m giving 170 Romanians over £17,000 each. colinut Posted November 8, 2010 Share Posted November 8, 2010 I could get done for this, but hey, this is my honest opinion: While there are very few Roma people educated to a degree level, seeing that even those are still up to no good, I dare to think it's in their blood, it's genetic... Not sure if all of it is to do with education/background. I know France was one for the most vocal countries in criticising Romania for not integrating the Roma. Yet when they had to deal with them, they got terrified and just deported them back to Romania. No one can take their legal right to free movement so we all just have to accept that the Roma problem has to be dealt with at European level rather than everyone washing their hands and expecting one country to deal with this problem.
