WalkleyIan
Went in last night, good beer, nice atmosphere, definitely worth a visit. Being a cider fan Ill still have the Closed Shop on the top of my list for its Westons range but the Blake does do a nice still Welsh Cider. Lincoln Hawk
Its thanks to the Old Timer in The Blake that I'm nursing my aching head today...! Nice to see a good pub opening rather than closing for a change
belperite
In there at the mo and liking very much! 7 ales, and I can see the decked area being very popular in summer with the view.
taxman
Went in last night, loved it. Friendly staff, good beer, just hope it stays open! Given James' track record I'm sure it will. A welcome addition to Sheffield's already great real ale reputation.
dacrlit
my pal went in last night. said it was great. good ale, dog friendly (they gave his dog a pigs ear!). plan to check it out tonight or tomorrow. can't wait, walkley is desperate for a decent pub. Walkley might be in need of a decent pub, but I consider The Closed Shop and The Hallamshire to be in Walkley. Also I consider The Blake Hotel to be in Upperthorpe. Also I consider The Blake Hotel to be in Upperthorpe. Well I consider the Closed Shop and The Hallamshire to be in Commonside. Whoopie do. It doesn't matter where you might think The Blake is, just rejoice that it is open once again and is serving decent beer.
