biotechpete
Hi, I'm looking for a flexible reception venue like a barn or country house or a good place for a marquee for May 2012. We were looking at Foxholes, but they are not now taking bookings for 2012 so we are searching around for a new venue. We really wanted a venue where we could organise our own catering etc to try and keep cost fairly low so have been avoiding hotels. We've already looked at Townfield barn but weren't that sure about it. Hoping someone might have some other good suggestions. Thanks
WTeaParties
You might want to try Whirlow Hall Farm, they have a large lambing barn, fields and a landscaped hall garden available for hire. We had our marquee wedding there in August and Lisa, who deals with events, is helpful and friendly. You can cater yourselves or have a firm in and also have freedom to decorate the venue too. Beeches
You might find the Old Rectory at Handsworth is suitable - we had our reception there this year and they were very flexible. As well as lots of space inside there is a large lawn and enclosed courtyard outside.

the_sheriff
Ditto for us. Townfield barn was a little too small for us. We want around 150 people for the evening and Townfield limit to 120. There must be some farmers out there in South Yorkshire who can assist?
