Shefftax bought Abbey and moved it down to Bedford Street. I think they still use the name and phone number but its all black cabs no private hire cars.

Norman died earlier this year.

I still work with a couple of cab drivers who were on original Abbey like Alan Hogg and Bill Green. I still see Ken (62) and Jack Heath knockin about.

I worked at Abbey on Rutland Road for 16 years.

I remember them and their cars, i think Ernest had a couple of stretched limo mercedes as well. Nice blokes but not seen either for years.
