Alien
I've thought about what you have written, considered it, ruminated upon it, weighed it in the balance, considered your arguments pros and cons and you're wrong. Ok. Next.
Vague_Boy
Death Penalty: Would it deter crime? Does it work in America?
chem1st
There are some (Brady, Hindley, Huntley are the ones who come immediately to mind) whose crimes go beyond heinous. I did put forward an idea, a few years back that those like Hindley and Brady (and of course Huntley, since) should be resuscitated, every time they even so much as thought about dying and be forced to think on the gravity of their crimes for as long as possible. It's pointless though, its a retarded form of torture. And a waste of money. Who's going to pay for it. I sure as hell don't want to. Besides, I doubt I'll be putting NET tens of millions into the pot to cover the cost. Were supposed to be civilised. Rope or bullet and energy efficient cremation, done, dusted and beneficial for society.

No need for a top heavy police force, no requirement for prisons, just re train the staff as executioners.

TJC1
I wouldn't be distraught, either, if I'm honest, crookesey, but I wouldn't want the louse to be put to death. It sounds like he is in terrible mental anguish, and has attempted to do himself in a number of times. Oh. Dear. Let him spend the rest of his life in gaol, languishing, and reflecting on the wickedness of what he did. Dont think we should bring back the death penalty which would be too good for Huntley anyway. Yet we have to pay for Huntleys food, lodgings and supervision all his life. This doesnt seem right to me.

upinwath
Is alcohol a mind altering drug? It is a mind altering drug and one that causes a lot of problems. Do you realise what is in medicine? Just because that's legal seems a very poor excuse to add more that cause far worse social problems. All illegal drugs are in medicines... Medicines that a qualified doctor uses to cure illness not so an idiot can have fun in a nightclub until they realise their fun has ruined their and their family's lives.
