crookesey
I reckon that Joe is in his early seventies, he never needed a gun, ask Dennis Hobson, fists only for those guys.
martini
Thanks for all replies. Still not convinced that Midnight Joe was Joe Durant but maybe so. I didn't know him well enough. John Dory
I used to frequent the Stag Inn on Psalter Lane occasionally in the early to mid 90's and he popped in there now and again with women who always looked 20 to 30 years younger on his arm. lazyec
Joe Durrant is still around and in his seventies - yes he does (did) work the car park at Hallamshire Tennis and not so long ago the car park at Greens Fitness Club. He used to work the doors of numerous clubs in his heyday and was in partnership at Gossips.

adrianm
Joe was the friendliest guy you could ever meet he was thoughtful and generous and always had time for a good chat, yes there were people that he thought were total w..kers and he was probably right. We spent every weekend with joe for the last 8 yrs or more and he was a very close friend when he went into hospital we never thought that this would be the last time we would see him on Christmas eve. Sadly Missed, You are always in our thoughts joe RIP x
