Paddy
Have just got a new electricity usage monitor from British Gas and I was wondering if anyone else is using one? If so what is your average reading? I live in a new build 2 bed town house and if I'm just watching tv with a couple of lights on then my reading is around 500 watts. Anyone else get a similar reading?

Anyone else get a similar reading? Are you using energy saving bulbs? I hope so because they are better for the environment and they are brighter than the 100W bulbs
Classic Rock
Are you also running a fridge and a freezer and have you got your heating on with an electric pump? Is your computer plugged in as you're typing on the Forum? These all need adding on.

claraa
Are you using energy saving bulbs? I hope so because they are better for the environment and they are brighter than the 100W bulbs Glad my parents bought 50, 100 watt bulbs before the new legislation came in to effect. They are far better for reading than the modern mercury filled bulbs.
Treatment
Are you using energy saving bulbs? I hope so because they are better for the environment and they are brighter than the 100W bulbs . . . and as soon as you try to change them the weedy little things snap in your hand.
