Your favorite pub as a teenager ??

I recall using the original pub, it must have been circa 200 years old, with really low ceilings that was very handy, me being 6 x 3.

 

6 x 3 = 18.

 

Whats that to do with low ceilings?.

We used to use the Albion on London road when I was 18 before going into the Locarno on the Rock and roll club night..

(Was that a Saturday night? Can't remember now, but it was Records all night.)

I remember the Albion's toilets were outside across a cobbled yard, and I heard much later that that cobbled yard was the only bit of the old London road left, apparently the back door when the Albion was first built was the front door...

The Adelphi near the Lyceum theatre, was a great, but rather small, hang out, and the Black Swan (AKA Mucky Duck), had some good turns on stage. I sang on stage at the Pomona on Eccleshall Rd when I was about 4 and I remember the folks throwing pennies.

well I used to go to club wow and brannigans in centretainment, also went down west street pub crawling ending up at embrace and rolling in at 4.30-5am happy days!! Now Im a family gal and love being a Mummy even more!!

You must have been at the same Donkey Derby discos as me then! Thatt's where I first met the girl who would,seven years later,become Mrs Shanes Teeth!

 

And me, the donkey derby was great until spoilt by idiots getting drunk and fighting, the getting drunk was OK.
