Urgu
I am a postgraduate student from Latin America wanting to get a driver license in the UK. I'll have to take driving lessons as I have never been a driver, but maybe it is not worth all the hassle if at the end I will have to pay £2000 for an insurance. I am female, 34 years old and I never drink alcohol, as I can not stand the flavor. Are insurances that expensive for me?
watchcoll
go onto a comparison site like go compare etc and fill in the details as though you have just passed your test and the type of car you would likely drive when you did. that will give you an idea of how much it will cost you. being female and older than 25 will make it cheaper than £2000 i'd imagine, unless you plan on owning a huge, fast car! i passed my test at 25 and got insurance for under £1000 on a ford ka one month after passing. so you should probably be fine.
